Leadership development

Ecclesiastes 10:10 If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But Wisdom brings success.

As a leader we look for things to change by changing those things around us. We must first sharpen our own self then we can effectively lead others to success. I have used a dull ax before and I have had to exert much more strength to accomplish the job.

Growth and development do not happen automatically. We must be intentional about our growth and development. Unless you first change what is in you - you will never change what is around you. Permanent change does not come from the outside it comes from the inside. We can make a difference in the world around us, but first, we must make a change of the world inside of us.

When John Maxwell asked company owners, oraganization leaders, and business leaders how to change their company, organization, or business, the usual response was the three P's. Performance, price and productivity. He simply replies "If you want those things to change you must first start with you".

We need to develop a plan of perpetual growth. Billy Graham was asked the question if he had three years to live what would he do? He said "I would spend the first two years training and the next year reaching out".

What strategies and plans are you developing to make a change in your life?

In John 14  Jesus said "He would not leave us comfortless".  Comfortless means as an orphan.  Wow! knowing that I have been adopted by GOD, makes me have comfort.
